Airport Security . The Solution ?
Here's the solution to all the controversy over full-body scanners at the airports.
I received this email today and thought it worth sharing it with you.
Have a booth you step into that will not X-ray you, but will detonate any explosive device you may have on you. It's a win-win for everyone, and there would be none of this crap about racial profiling. It eliminates a long and expensive trial. Justice will be swift. Case closed!
This is so simple it's brilliant. I can see it now: You're in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled explosion, followed by an announcement over the PA system,
"Attention standby passengers. We now have a seat available on flight number ...."
Is this the answer to our security problems ?

containing the explosion
finding the security staff to operate it
and composite bombs assembled in flight
Suicide bombers aren't exactly know for being risk averse
"I wouldn't risk it at Heathrow they've one of those new boxes you could get hurt!"
Other than that brilliant!

What if you've got a cigarette lighter on you?
I disagree with the idea if you refuse the scan you don't fly (current policy) agree to a search instead, I say that though with no real conviction (I'm not THAT bothered) afterall if you choose to fly they can quite legally shove their fist up ya bum to see what you've got, and you can't refuse.
I think you'd have to request an aisle seat after that, pray there's no turbulence and try to stand up.
