I have a 2003 MG ZT which uses a Kenwood Multi-changer Cd player. It will play 'Original CD's and will not play downloaded music to a CDR- disc etc. Can anyone tell me what format etc this will play?

It's not the "format" This is standardised for audio CD's.
It's the discs. Some CD-R's are not reflective enough.
I have come across a few picky players before.
Look for the true silver ones (where it's almost impossible to see a burned area) They will most likely work.
if you're burning the disks as CDs with MP3's on them then your only option may be to burn them as proper audio CDs.

If you're burning them as Audio CDs and it's a fairly old player it may just be a case of experimenting with different brands of CD-R until you find one that works and then stick to that (or google the model number of the CD player and "CD brand" and see if you have any luck)
