we walked past a group of three lads throwing sticks and kicking a football at something in a tree. Their parents? - Well a male and female drinking Tennants Extra, with a baby on a blanket sitting not far away.
I saw a few wasps around and guessed what they were doing - I said to them, 'wouldn't do that if I were you' so the eldest one pipes up, 'well I'm not you', and the 'mother' said to me 'oh leave them alone they're not hurting' a couple of minutes on up the hill and I could hear screaming and the 'parents' jumping about waving their arms in the air swearing like troopers, squadrons of wasps angrily thundering around them, anyway the poor victim in all this is my poor black lab Jet, who got stung on his muzzle.

Shame about the dog but I would have laughed my head off at the kids. Serves them right.

Jet's had loads of fuss, and Paddy and Ben my golden labs have licked his muzzle for him, even lotte our King Charles spaniel gave him a 'kiss!

Aw Mercia, is your doggy ok?? Apparently vinegar on a wet tissue should ease it a bit, if not I got a spray in the chemist the other day called Xpel which is a bite and sting relief spray, Bobby my Yorkie stood on a wasp/bee the other day and I used that and he was grand :)

I didn't stop, i just said it as I walked by - and there was no other way to walk than past them, not with fours dogs, 5 children from 6-13 and a baby

He's loving all the attention! I managed to get the sting out intact, I tried to put ice on it, he just keeps moving his head and licking it!! He's fine

they were chasing the wild rabbits, or the seagulls, lagging behind, i just give a whistle and they come running, then lag behind again, like children really when they find something interesting
