Been looking for a song for about 19 years now.  I think it was by an Australian guy and it is called 4-11-44.  I have tried every search engine that I can think of and I just can't find anything of that name in the 80s.  It was pretty mainstream as I first saw it on Saturday Morning superstore and it was played on radio one a few times too.  Any ideas will be gratefully received!!

Hello DiscoCat,
Found this,

WYLIE, PETE
SIREN/ SRN-59-12
Four Eleven Forty Four (the last waltz in limbo)
The Marksman
Four Eleven Forty Four (high on a rock,
sea crashing on the shore)
IMPORT, PS, RARE
1987 UK VG+/VG+ 10.00
The Living Legend That Is Pete Wylie is no Australian, though - he's a proud Scouser. Unless of course there's another Pete Wylie - the very idea :-).
