Water pump conked out in Garden pond;is it dangerous for Koi Carp ?
7 Answers
I have been asked to feed a neighbours Koi carp whilst he is on holiday for 10 days. I go in twice a day and give them a handful of fish food. This morning the pump had stopped working and the fish are very lethargic although usually they are waiting for me to feed them. Should I be worried or is it just the very hot weather which is making them lethargic?

hi, if you can't contact the owner for help, try ringing a local aquarium shop for help [in the morning]. They maybe able to send someone out to help or recommend some one who can help you out. Because it's so hot its will need sorting asap.
Good luck.

The pond is in the garden and there is a big external pump at the back. The electrics are in the garage. There are 2 pipes hanging over the side of the pond (which is very large) and normally water comes out of these in a steady flow but now just one pipe has water trickling out of it. I am a 65 year old widow and not up to dismantling anything !!
