One for the oldies. I took French A Level in 1965. I passed the Oral with Distinction but received an O Level Pass for the written part. Can anybody tell me whether this is better or worse than a fail? If it's worse, why bother saying?

Thanks for any ideas.

If it counts as an O level then it's a qualification, so it's better than nothing.
But I'm curious as to why it would matter after all these years

Thanks Factor 30. I already had the O Level. I agree it doesn't really matter - it's just that nobody has ever been able to enlighten me!
