With all the dreadful weather in recent years, floodings and forest first etc,  Is it possible that with millions of mobile phones all over the world could this be contributing to this weather?

I would suspect no more than a mobile phone can make a Boeing 747 crash.  (They can't.  We only have to turn them off because if everyone was on their phone through the flight 1. people would get angry and have air rage, 2. they wouldn't be paying attention if the cabin crew needed to give them safety instructions).

I don't think phones are a cause.  Cars maybe, and all the other air pollution.  But not phones.

PS - I dropped geography before GCSE so really, I have NO idea!!! :-p

All the resources and energy used to make,transport and sell mobile phones along with the infrastructure to use them and maintainence of it will contribute some way toward pollution and hence global warming but only a tiny percentage.
the human body is about 80% water, but frequent use of mobile phones reduces this below 50% (it's not exactly boiled away, it's more that the phones cause chemical changes in the body, administered through the ear). Water in the atmosphere is then drawn towards our bodies as we are now more easily able to absorb it - it's like when it rains, it flows off ground that's already saturated, towards ground that's drier. This has the effect of generating heavier rains, as you say hopalong.
Now that we can't blame atom bombs, I suppose it must be mobile phones.

Our weather is not any worse than 10 or 20 years ago ! It just gets reported more in the media.  As the media love to play on our fears and "global warming" and "severe climate changes" play right into our hands or minds as is more appropriate.

Oooh Ned that's a bit misleading! depends what you mean by worse

There are a number of climate indicators being monitorred by Defra the 2003 report can be seen here:

http://www.nbu.ac.uk/iccuk/

Top of the list:

The 10-year period 1993-2002 was the warmest on record in central England, 0.7 ?C above the 1961-1990 mean;

The average number of hot days (at or over 20 ?C) in 1993-2002 in central England was 7.4, over twice the long-term average;

I've never heard it seriously suggested that mobile phones signals contribute. Personally I doubt it but I'd not dismiss the possibility out of hand.

jno - what drugs are you on? Only joking but your answer is mince.
Gef, you disbelieving soul! Those are the very latest facts. I look forward to them being picked up and disseminated all over the web.
My mobile phone is all soggy due to the moisture its sucked out of my body, or perhaps its tears of laughter!
Yes that'll be it -can't think why it hasn't been realised before.......
