God I hate it when you're nice, means i have to be nice back to you ;-)
She's pretty much back to normal. She came home at 8 last night, after the doc made her stay in her room for a few hours to make sure her headaches had cleared up. She says she's still got a bit of a one, but nowhere near as bad as it was.
I rang her earlier to see if she'd slept ok (she had) and she was just in middle of wrapping baby up to go for his first walk in the pram to the park with her, so job's a good 'un.
Despite our many differences, thanks again for being thoughtful, no doubt we'll fall out again in the future, but I really do appreciate you being nice, just this once ;-)

yeah Salla, she was taken back into hospital Saturday morning. The epidural she had when having Lucas went a bit doolally (technical term) and she had to have something called a blood patch, where blood is taken from elsewhere and used to plug the hole where the spines needle went in.
I'm going slightly queazy thinking about it to be honest.

BOO, I didn't say so earlier for obvious reasons, but I had an epidural that went wrong, they hit somewhere in my spine that hurt so much I nearly passed out and then went in somewhere else and deadened one leg but my tum was still not 'dead', so they gave me a general anaesthetic (sp) in the end. I still had a 'dead' leg when I woke up. I still get weird sharp stabs in my back and in my foot at the same time, but nothing terrible. It was many years ago though - I am sure epidurals must have improved since then.
Gosh Boo, don't stick around here much these days but glad hear your daughter is doing well.... now.
Lofty I had one a bit like that, I think mine had something to do with not enough local because the actual result of it was perfect ( could still move my legs just felt nothing)but just the thought of that needle going in the first time makes my toes curl and bottom twitch.

oooo hey Goodsy, long time no see and all that!!
We're just glad it's all over to be honest, like you goodsy, my toes curl at even the thought of an injection in my spine.
Lottie, your experience sounds equally gruesome, glad you didn't tell me that Saturday night.
I looked at her back on Saturday, and no worrd of a lie, she's 10 ( i counted) puncture wounds there, where they tried to get the needle in- is this normal? Trying 10 times i mean? I personally, if i was her would have told them to sod off after the 2nd attempt!

Sound horrendous BOO. Ten attempts! I was going to have an caesarian by epidural after a bloody long labour. Wish I had never agreed and I had a general in the end anyway!!
Still it was worth it for the end result!!
I would never have disclosed that to you before I knew that Mini Boo Senior was up and running again.
