I'm all for free speech but your thread in question just seemed for want of a better word ... lazy! Just struck me as catholic baiting and that's coming from an agnostic.

sorry you felt that way about my thoughts captain but im all for fairness and all that and i certainly wouldnt want to ''bait'' anyone it just seems a bit ott to have the pope in the uk and its costing the uk taxpayer 12 million quid [even if you are not religious] if you get my drift lol

ps bez i could have played better than rooney in my furry slippers lol
Not religious myself but I can understand a visit by the Pope would be an exceptional circumstance and the costs should be met by the taxpayer as the security would be to cover the public at large as well and could not be staged by simply selling tickets via Ticketmaster.
