Oh dear, that sqad bloke has opened a can of worms. I take offence that he thinks I and the rest of the British race are filthy. His opinion (like a lot of peoples`s opinions) is based on ignorance. He said himself he`s lived in the Uk for 40 years (apart from the protective bubble of holidays)

ooh greedyfly, don't come to my house.... I am of the Quentin Crisp school of housekeeping, leave the dust long enough and it doesn't get any worse. (Someone bought me a brill pair of fridge magnets: If you must look at the dust, please don't write your name in it.... and If you must write your name in it, please don't date it...)
I have cats too so I will admit the place gets pretty hairy. BUT I do the dishes and the laundry and the toilets are clean, and we've never caught anything nasty yet. I have better things to do than vacuuming.... but I understand that for many, it's important and I respect that. It would be boring if we were all the same.

I also mentioned the disgusting state of public toilets. I have rarely seen one that is clean, hence my not using them. As for the people, I don't think I know one dirty person (in the sense of smelly/germ ridden dirty), plenty of dirty minded folk.
