Ginger has been telling me for yonks that my youngest son is fat. I couldn't see it myself....a bit plump maybe, but not fat.

I've just had a letter from the NHS informing me that he is indeed VERY fat :-(

What to do???

He eats healthy (although I think he sneaks food because he's greedy) he walks a minimum of 5 miles a day.....What next?

Question Author
Yes.... :-)
In which case, the little chap's only 11, has undoubtedly got some puppy fat, but at that age, loads of kids do. Bet he grows into a strapping young guy in his mid to late teens? Then he can go kick s%%t out of anyone who has been namecalling him just now!
Seemples? Good luck to him.
I remember my eldest being quite chubby when he was about that age, despite playing football, running, swimming, maybe the onset of puberty, sorry to ask has he got slight moobs
My son was a chubby boy! When he got to about 13/14 he just grew! He is now 6ft 2 ins, and slim with it! Never been chubby since then!......................Don't worry!.....He'll be fine!............
My son is 12 and is "chubby", he eats the same size dinners as me (healthy not broccoli)but he plays football and trains once a week, he is taller than my missus so we are not too worried at the mo.
He`s going to be a six foot plus brick sh!thouse in a few years though
Elvis makes a good point, sometimes boys seem to become chubby, and then they grow so much!..........they just shoot up!..........my boy did, it was amazing!......he obviuosly stored the calories to do the vast amount of growth, so I would not be worrying about it just yet.........see how he goes!.......Bet he's going to be a big guy!..
