Are you American ? If so, commiserations, over here, where English was invented, we say bottom or bum. And we have colours not colors, and we have Caesar not Cesar. But the answer is yes.

Raylynch,
Apologies for the arrogance of fellow Brit mfewell.
We're not all racist here.
But to answer your question, yes a clean butt is less likely to pass on infection that a mouth that can never be cleaned 100% due to the fact that saliva and the eair we breath is filled with nasty bacteria.

I wasn't being racist, it just bothers us brits that Americans CAN'T SPELL PROPLY. It's all very well saving Western democracy and ideals from the agressors, but to spell colour as color is beyond the pale.

I don't see the word color in my question. But I can spell 'properly' correctly. This wasn't a political question so I don't understand the response. But I do believe that we have pulled your arses (bums) out of the fire a couple of times.

I guess my wife and I should put off our trip to Wales to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in September to avoid this kind of hostility. Sorry your feel so superior.

I am as pro-USA as any Brit - but why if you want a serious answer are you asking such a daft question ? I mean, is the butt cleaner than the mouth ? How can you be serious. By the way, I am so pro-USA I admire George W.

Raylynch, please do not take umbrage, im sure it was not meant in the way you percieved it, please do visit us it matters not a toss how we differ in spelling.
Ralynch, I too apoligise for mfewell. There are lots of stupid questions asked here and I don't know why he singled out yours as being such as I don't think it is particularly stupid, it made me think anyway. I think we have a word that is common to both US/UK English and it starts with another name for a Donkey and ends with another name for an aperture.
It depends what you do with them!  Putting your tongue in someone's mouth and you risk getting a throat infection but probably nothing worse.  Put it in the other end and there's a small risk of getting hepatitis, which can be deadly.
Hi raylinch, brit ally here. I was told that there are more bacteria in your mouth than your butt though the ones in your butt are more deadly. Doesn't seem to bother mutts though, lol. Strangely some weird people too!! Love your country by the way, visited last march, real nice people.
