I'm trying to find the classic snooker opening theme tune sponsored by Benson & Hedges in the late 80s, I can best describe it as electronic synth and NOT the regular bass guitar version.

At one time, they used a excerpt from "To the Unknown Man" by Vangelis

The track is Available on several Best of Albums and the excellent "Spiral"

Crisgal, that's the very one I'm not after.

Gromit, that's not the one either.

Arrgh, so frustrating. The tune is playing in my head can't seem to find it. I know it's out there.

i thought mine was the synthy version?
I'm probably way off but I remember a tune called ''the music box dancer'' by Frank
Mills. It was definitely used during a snooker programme when they did a compilation
of snooker shots. I've found it on utube but I don't know how to send the link.
Apologies if it's not what you are looking for!
