Yesterday,at her school speechday,my eldest grandaughter,was made Head Girl for her next school year.
Mrs dg and myself are so so proud of her,I felt I just had to post this.

Of course you are proud, a great achievement. It means she has aspired to do well and has indeed succeeded.

I read somewhere that certain school sports days don't have winners and losers. If this was applied throughout the school then every pupil would be a head pupil.


Hard work and steadfast endeavour should always be recognised and rewarded....

My daughter got herself an apprenticeship at a very good local nursery yesterday which means after a year she can get on a degree course to become a teacher. Were very proud too, especially after she'd picked herself up after being messed around by another nursery.

Hello again all.
Thankyou for your lovely replies.
doc,I hope you had a wonderful birthday yesterday.Her school is one of those that still
has a "proper" sports day,where there is a really competitive edge and only the winners get a trophy.
