Judge the first job Electrical Draughtsman (Computer Aided Design) sounds like more money than a Sportshop worker, why the change?

I thought as we got older we became more creatures of Comfort zones and habit, Then again it seems that as we get older that's when we have some of our craziest ideas.
And many sensible ones as well.

Agree Hugo, have no commitments,my boys are grown up,my cat would be looked after if i wanted to do some work overseas, but yet a tad scared...
I did get made redundant and yes, there's a lot more money to be made from Engineering. It's either feast or famine. You'll be constantly moving from area to area looking for work.

I had previously done a training course where I had a work placement in a Sports shop and enjoyed my time, but they didn't have a permanent place for me. I tried the same course again (Nearly three years ago) and ended up in my local Staples. They just wanted slave labour, so, I sent my CV off to the place I am in now and I've been there ever since. Downside being it's an out-of-town development so the hours are variable.
Aah I see.
I was a graphic artist for 18 years. Then had my daughter...I was a 'mature' mum. When she started school-I turned my talents to crafts...first making jewellery, then I made hand-painted papier mache bowls and mirrors. One of my contacts asked if I would like to cook in his tearoom...I fancied having a go....and have been cooking on and off ever since.
