Hello everyone-  Tock389 here. As I promised, am keeping you informed about my date last night. In short, it was a blinder. We met in a bar and spent two hours chatting and drinking-  it turns out we've got lots in common, and unlike most of the recent dates I've been on, there were no awkward silences. Just before we left, I asked her if she wanted to do this again, and she said "definitely". I walked back to my car and just before she went to hers, she gave me a peck on the cheek!

We're going out to the cinema next week..it's all happening here..

It's a shame Hitch isn't still playing in the cinema!!!

Now you have the endearing task of chosing a suitable film....or you could let her chose, in which case I usually find puts a little pressure on her and she says something like "I'm happy to see whatever you want" or something like that, which then opens up a hole other area of bonding.

Good luck and have lots of fun. Just don't treat her bad or her friend's will probably hunt you down.

aw, seriously, this posting is so cute. I didn't think people went on dates any more (or maybe it's just the neanderthals I've been involved with), I had thought that it was a dying art. There's nothing better than the wait, the wondering what to wear, the fear of getting a spot, the last minute panic, the relief when it's all going well, the promise of a 2nd date.... ahh, to be single again....

Hi Tock, I'm really happy for you, I'm pleased that the date went well, its 31 years ago I went out on my first date with my husband,  August Bank Holiday Monday 26/08/74, i can still remember that night " magic ".  You never know this might be the start of something " BIG!"  Good Luck on your next date. :-)
