Pass the razor gently but firnly over your bristles in all directions, which will improve the performance of your electric razor. If your skin is sensitive, use a 'pre-shave' cream balm, and an alcohol-free aftershave for senstitive skin.

If you have not used an electric shaver before, it will take some time for your skin to get used to it, maybe weeks.
As for the bristles starting to grow all in one direction.... you would be entitled to return the shaver for a full refund because you've been told a porky.
It would still be hard to beat a wet shave, dispite triple action this and stubble lifting that action advertised by electric shaver manufacturers..
