have any of you had your son circumsised, was it medical and did it help, were they in pain afterwards and at what age? thanks

It was for medical reasons as his foreskin was so tight. I was against having it done at first as I thought of it as a mutilation. However, a couple of infections, the GP and hospital specialist persuaded me that he should have the op.
He was a day patient and quite sore for about a week afterwards, but everything has been fine since. Neither he nor I have any regrets.
However, I cannot understand why anyone would have any surgery unless it was necessary medically. Life is full enough of risks without adding to them.
