we all know that when you visit a GP, the resulting notes are available for insurance / mortgage companies, etc, to see. if you see a doctor privately, can you avoid the notes not being made available like that?

However if you make a false statement for insurance purposes e.g denying you have a heart condition to obtain life insurance then I believe there would be just cause to obtain the notes as a criminal act will be involved. A private consultation would be exactly the same
