Raoul Moat....why the Tornado jet?
22 Answers
There must be lots of things about this that we aren't aware of and won't be told, but why was a Tornado jet used? Did the police have laser sighters on the ground, ready to line Moat up if they saw him, then zap him with a missile from the jet? I mean, what part could a Tornado play in the hunt?

I can't recall a suicide, but it's been along time now! We never sed Boverton Castle though we did get into the WHite Hart at Llantwit alot, but the Red Dragon was brilliant, my mate and I would play on the bandit in the lounge endlessly ! Discos there were excellent and drinks were so cheap! I remember Roy Gardner and Little Dai, Chris Cox was another.
Only East-campers knew St Athan village people well, but a good civvy mate on my Sqn lived locally, and knew loads, so I knew a few civvy families in village. One had chippy in Llantwit high street opp. Nat West, another was milkman, and I was seeing a pretty girl in the St Athan village video shop : ) Happy days.
Will try to remember some names over coming days.
P.S. My office on East was almost underneath that Vulcan's wing that was parked there for years. It was one of the two Vulcans that were being considered for Restaurant conversions!
