He says he was offering to help but was turned down. Is there something wrong with that? It can't be much fun watching your brother being hunted down like a dog. Unless you know something about Angus that I don't, maybe a little human sympathy would be in order?

I felt sorry for Moat. The people that knew him seemed to think he was an OK bloke. He just had a mental breakdown. I watched two family members have breakdowns...not pleasant.

Elvis, all that means is that he wasn't shoving himself in front of TV cameras making emotional pleas (what were the chances Moat was watching TV and actually saw any of these?) and hogging the limelight. But he's saying he was in touch with the police and offering help, which was rejected.
