I'd really like to think that there is. I have been to see a few mediums and they have all told me that my grandmother Harriet is watching over me. Trouble is both grandmothers were called Harriet. I can only recall one incident when I had put some very old photos in a plastic bag to put into an album. For some reason they got put in with the waste paper, three times the plastic bag fell out of the waste paper basket and in frustration I put it in the rubbish bin it fell out of that before I realised what it contained.

I am not afraid. I just don't believe. I never have. I lived in a house with my mother and sister and they were both convinced we had a ghost. Heard noises, were touched etc... I personally think it is rubbish.

I don't believe in the afterlife/god/angels/ghosts and why should I? I don't have faith. If you could show me evidence then I would believe. I envy people with faith to a degree but I won't pretend I have it.
I dunno. I used to think I had someone looking over me - but I think he has got lost after all the house moves I have made in the last few years. I kind of quite liked him too.

Quite weirdly I went to see a clairvoyant a year ago last April. I was in the slough of despond (bad relationship ended, problems at work and a breast cancer scare) and I kind of was just stretching out for some support from somewhere. OK so she didn't give me any support but told me that I would imminently meet the man of my dreams and we would live by water. She was insistent that I was moving house extremely soon. She told me about a wonderful garden and water and ducks and swans. I was insistent that I was not going anywhere and my house in Bury was part of my "five year plan". Thereafter we would see. She insisted it was going to happen within a couple of months. I told her that was impossible since my house was not even on the market (and I had sod all intention of moving anywhere). We agreed to disagree.

In June I met the BF. In October I moved in with him. He lives opposite the most beautiful lake. Daily I feed the ducks and swans. Sometimes I just wonder......
Do you need evidence for everything that you believe Greedyfly? I mean do you believe that the earth is round, or that there are many other planets out there. Do you believe that Henry 8th had seven wives, I mean maybe its all a fairy story, a fabrication. Which books are fact and which are fiction - who knows? You must have been a nightmare at school.
I was because I believe what I believe and I refuse to be told different. We are all entitled to an opinion on everything.

I can't make myself believe something I don't. I wouldn't want to. I wouldn't be who I am today if I let people tell me how to think! As I said I envy people to a degree being able to trust in something they have no proof of. I am sure it is nice to think/believe you have someone watching over you! Maybe if something good happened to me or helped me in a time of need I would feel different? But so far nothing has helped me along the way.
Kassee I think that is slightly unfair. People believe different things for different reasons.

There is evidence that the earth is round and that there are other planets and solar systems out there. There is no evidence that Henry VIII had 7 wives (although there is masses of evidence to show that he had 6). As I have learned after a number of years at the bar, evidence is capable of different interpretations by different people. Greedy is entitled to her beliefs as you are yours, but nonetheless her interpretation of evidence is just that - as is yours.

All I am saying is that different people believe different things for different reasons..... It is unfair to say she must have been a nightmare at school.
Sorry to interrupt but Henry VIII had six wives.
surely people are allowed a difference of opinion without being abused kassee? all our opinions are subject to change over the years. I can understand her need to see some sort of proof, I can also understand your side of things.
sorry Greenfly - I didn't mean to be rude to you !!
I'm not sure I even need to answer this question, I think most will automatically know my answer.

A resounding no :-)

I promise I will say no more on the subject for fear of persecution :-(
Hi, smurfchops. I found out when Mr. N was doing research for his third novel. he came across it by accident when looking on a site about crystal healing. pjentoft.com. I would never take the mick from any ABers. Mrs_N
I'm a believer....I've been let off more times than I wish to think about....
