When I open My Documents, I only see Folders - the files that were never in folders no longer appear. How can I get to display them again?

maybe the folders are hidden. Go in My Docs, Folder Options, view and select the 'display hidden folders' option. Worth a try.
Gotta ask, why are you so sure the files are still there if you can't see them?

Hi Chuckfickens - I know they're there because I can access those that were opened in 'Recent Documents' Great response though! Glad there's someone out there - I'm feeling alone...............
Maybe you've accidentally moved them. If you can see them in Recent Documents, right-click on one of them and choose Properties. Go to the General tab, and check the location.
