SuperAntiSpyware(SAS) program

Hi all

I run the free version of SAS on my system. (XP home + SP2)
I download updates and run full system scan weekly. in recent weeks it has found only 2 or 3 items and sometimes nothing.

Today I did all this again and have just run the scan.
The report is over 3000 items. Mostly they are of the type Trojan.Agent/Gen-CDesc[....]
I did watch as it was running and most seem to be .dll files that I would not have expected to show problems.

Has anyone else seen strange effects with SAS? Has the program gone funny?
I find it hard to believe that 3k+ items have appeared in one week and my system does not show any signs of problems.
Norton Internet Security program and AntiMalwarebytes do not show anything out of the ordinary.

All suggestions appreciated.

It could be replicating ..
I assume you have an AV installed?!

Switch OFF system restore, after clearing out all temp files and Temp Internet files, and do a full system scan, and see what it finds.
If your AV is no good at removing these infections, you must find and use a tool that does. Do this with System Restore turned off.
Switch back on when problem cleared.

Thanks for the suggestion.
After SAS had quarantined everything it thought was infected my system was effectively screwed.
I have restored everything and am now back to normal.
I am looking at using Comodo software from now on as I have seen several people recommend it here.
I assume it is the free version BoClean that I want.
