How were you running out of time? The crossword does not have to be in until Thursday which even if you are not in the uk, gives you at least all of Sunday to complete it.
This is a cryptic crossword which means that clues can be worked out even if you do not know the words. If you cannot complete it on your own, have the courtesy to TRY!!
Thanks to those who replied in 'good spirit'
For Biley - Strangely I do know the difference between a cryptic and GK crossword. I'd put in a 2 letter word incorrectly which confused things. As for time -well Sun brings lots more crosswords and then there is the other life. Don't worry I'm not going to win a BIG prize just by begging answers, was just curious.
Try to be nice next time.
Nice? ONE or even TWO clues needing answering would be acceptable but eight out of twenty eight is NOT!
If you cannot complete the crossword on your own, then do not send it - do you really believe it is right to try and win ANY prize when somebody who has completed the crossword themselves may then miss out?
If you are just curious about the answers, then either wait until the closing date has passed or wait until the answers have been given in the paper itself.
I have been trying to win one of the first prizes in the Telegraph for nigh on THIRTY years and it annoys me greatly to think that somebody like you who has to be given the answers could win despite sheer laziness.
Nice?? Ha!!!
