Is my tattoo healing properly?
9 Answers
Ive had my Tattoo about 2 weeks and a half now, it is wrinkled, if i look at it closely it looks wrinkled, Ive been using bepanthem, nothing else. I apply it about 2-3 times a day! I Dont no weather im applying too much or anything, it looks wrinkled and a very light color, it does not look the color it did when i first had it done. i have not got it wet or anything the only time its been wet is when i have wiped it with luke warm water to clean it. Ive also wiped it a few times with anticeptic wipes, to keep it clean from infection and germs.
Some of the tattooo does not look real? if you get me!
I am worried its fading and/or not healing properly.
How long does it normally take for a tattoo to heal, is bepanthem now needed?
Any advice i will be grateful for. :)

If you think there is a problem go back to the tattoo shop they will look at it for you and advise you. Mine took about a week before the scabs fell off but mine was in an area where I caught it all the time on clothing and things.
My Hubby and I are quite the tattooed couple, and we apply bepathen for the first 3/4 days about 2/3 times a day. And then after this we use oilatum, which is more of a moisturiser than a cream, it gives the tattoo a chance to breathe, and helps with the colour.
Whatever you do, don't be tempted to pick it! everyone has different healing times, my husband takes about 5 days, I take about 3 weeks. But I would personally switch from bepanthem to something lighter like oilatum.

I used vaseline on all of mine and it worked a treat from them drying out and getting really itchy as then youre more prone to scratching the scabs off! Once its all healed it will look much better than it does at the moment,, mine took around 3 weeks to finally start looking good and stop itching! xx
