Hi

Okay, I am selling a camcorder on ebay that has an installation disc.

I am being bugged by this guy who has the same camcorder but has lost the disc and wants me to email him part of it.

I'm not inclined to do it because he is not being particularly nice about it, but is it even possible to do something like this?

Thanks guys

Possible, but why give help to someone who's obnoxious?
Forgot - technically possible - may not be legally possible.
It's probably possible, but firstly you may be in danger of copyright infringement by sending it to him and secondly (and more important) if he's not being nice about it tell him where to stick it (or just ignore him)

what camcorder BTW? because he could probably download the drivers from the manufacturers website.

Thanks guys for your help.
charge him - lots
He can undoubtedly download the drivers from the manufacturer's site but they don't make the accompanying movie editing software package freely available.

If you provide him with this then not only are you infringing copyright (and hence automatically cancelling your licence agreement) there is every chance he will register the software before your buyer who could then be denied registration. The buyer would have every right to demand a refund from you.

He probably stole the camcorder anyway which is why he doesn't have the disk. Tell him to leave you alone or you will report him to eBay.
