I have 2 web sites that have a ''Contact us'' button & both should reach my email address, the first site works fine but the other site sends the email but it is dumped straight into the deleted items folder, how can I stop this happening? I am running win.XP with IE6. an answer in simple terms please as I am an idiot when it comes to computers.

Is it deleting the item because it thinks it's spam? If so, you might be able to fix it by adding the sender address (from the website, see one of the emails) into your address book, so it's recognised when it comes into your inbox. Not very technical, but worth a try.
Depends on what is receiving the mail, but essentially add it to the safe senders list.

Boxtops, a good idea I will do that now & see if it works, Chuckfickens how do I do that?.
See first part of my answer....

"Depends on what is receiving the mail"

Hotmail, Gmail? yahoo? etc etc....
p.s.

Why on earth are you still running IE6.... IE8 has been out for some time, You really should keep your system updated, IE6 has security vulnerabilities that won't be patched now as it's out of date.

Chuckfickens thanks for your answers, the email address is ntlworld.com and as to why I have IE6 it's simply what was on this laptop when I got it & nobody has ever advised me about an update, as I said when it comes to computers I haven't got a clue.

Sorry chuk I also should have said Outlook Express
OK, in outlook express the address has probably been added to the blocked senders list if it's going straight into the deleted items.... to check and remove if needed click the tools menu, select message rules then blocked senders list and check the address the form mails show as coming from are not listed in there, if it is then remove it.

And to do a system update click start > all programs and windows update should be towards the top of the list. you may have to run it 2 or 3 times before it stops downloading updates and you are fully up to date (and some of the downloads will be quite large)

You should then do a windows updates about once a month to ensure your system stays up to date.

Thanks Chuckfickens you were right for some reason it was in the blocked sender list, so thanks to you it's sorted now, I will run a system update as soon as I have a spare few hours.
