Swearing

Watching Big Brother at the moment (yeah I know!)
The participants seem to swear a lot in conversation,as they do every year!
Is this normal? I can hold a conversation without swearing every other word..
Can you???

I've never swore in front of my parents either!

I was brought up in a house full of swearing, but there is one word I will not say, it makes me cringe.

I rarely swear, never in front of my children, and see no need for it in general conversation: sadly that genre of reality type show reflects our societys acceptance of swearing. There is a popular female poster here who swears quite regularly going by her recent contributions, even overcoming the site's software to filter out swear words, and it's really not an admirable trait. My opinion and I observed another 'side' to her when reading recent threads which may or may not have been down to the demon drink. Nevertheless, it reveals quite a lot about her.
