People who widely flare their nostrils do look very strange, I think it must be a primeval unconscious thing.

Not messing bibble. I was driving earlier & caught sight of myself in the driver's mirror. I was smiling sardonically at something Jeremy Vine had said. I looked really weird with nostrils in full flare. Then I started practising doing it mildly, then exaggeratedly. It looked quite horrid - like a bad smell had wafted under my nose.
