Just looking at the front pages on sky news and the Mail has a headline story about councils riffling through the bins to ascertain wealth/race etc. Now the Mail usually has a scrap of truth in these cornflake spitters. Anyone know the full/real story?

£18 million on a mosque???

The new Government's cutbacks mean that some of our schools are being told their planned upgrades are not going to go ahead and we want to waste £18 million building a mosque????

I remember that you tend to raise EDL protests and violence when UAF are actively involved in the violence, usually then posing the question - who are the thugs or something.

Selective pickings Oldgit you're as worse as the mass media. And you refer to 'thought thugs' I mean really?? By highlighting selective stories, not for the purpose of a genuine attempt at understanding the story but as evidence to support your racist views - Is that not 'thought control?'

I will tell you what happened on Saturday. I spoke to my sister's work colleague today who I know thru my sister's work. The lady is a 74 yr old asian interpreter for a health authority. On Saturday she was in her car, stationary at lights with her daughter and grandchild. They were going shopping at Merrry Hill.

She doesn't know where the protestors came from but suddenly they targeted only - black and asian cars - they pelted stones, smashed her car back window, shouted racist abuse and kicked her and other coloured peoples cars.

These are 1 pensioner, 1 woman and a child. They are not muslims, they oppose the building of the mosque themselves. They were innocent females on their way to a local shopping centre. The black cars targeted also had a variety of generations and sexes within them.

I could hardly hear her speak to me on the phone she was in constant tears. Never had she been so terrified in her life she said. She is afraid to leave her house.

I'm against the building of the mosque Joeluke but violent protest and targeting innocent people is not the way.

If one can't see even from this that the EDL is a fascist group with the same agenda as the BNP and National Front before that then I must be living in Oldgit land.

This woman's story and all the past posts and time I have given to you Oldgit fall on deaf ears. I waited for an answer today and you didn't provide one as you didn't the last question I asked. I think you are a racist.
