selling slightly damaged ladders

I want to sell some ladders which have slight damage on the ends of the stiles. If the damage is detailed in the advert will I be free from liability if someone hurts themselves using them

they've had a small bash on the ends. It would be hard to see how anyone could have an accident due to this but we live in such a compensation culture tat any excuse seem to bring a claim

If the damage is slight/minor and will have no material affect on the usage of the ladders, drawing the attention of your purchasers ought to be sufficient. But make sure it's NOT in small small print......there are some very wily ambulance-chasers out there.
