I hope you know how precious you are and I for one don't believe you when you say you don't give a to
It must be hard sometimes knowing how much trust people place in you and having to give advice based on some pretty sketchy info...without recourse to results etc
I just wanted you to know that
I've worked with some brilliant medics in my time but your kindness and sense of humour make me suspect you were up there too
my gp doesn't do sympathy either, and i really like her for it, i don't want sympathy, i want efficiency, knowledge and reassurance. she's the best gp i've ever had. straight to the point, no messing about, i know exactly where i am with her, and i hope she knows i'm not a time waster (i'm sure she does). we have a great respect for each other.
my niece is currenty in her 2nd year gp training so i have some insight into what's involved, hats off to all medics.
I have a GP like that too, but he does do a little sympathy as well. What makes it even better is that he's gorgeous!! The staff say he's the toughest one in the group practice to work for - he has exacting standards and patient welfare is his prime concern.
Had a brilliant GP where I used to live I think he was Sqads love child... Went to him with headaches.. he did all the usual said you have some swelling behind your right eye and from the other symptoms I think you have a brain tumour...go home and wait for the hospital to call you with a time to get in....next...
