I use gumtree quite regular to get rid of things. I so far have not successfully bought anything from it.

Could you imagine the kerfuffle itd cause on here if we had a for sale / wanted topic ? lol there would be fisticuffs as to who bought the item : )
Yeah lol
Never heard of gumtree. Will try it. Thanks
Freecycle is good too.
I found the last room I rented in Guildford by using Gumtree.
I remember I once got rid of about 300 magazines on gumtree. Put on a posting as I could not get to a recycle centre (no car) and someone came and picked them up for the local hospital. It is surprising what people will take!
i do all the time it has a good local job section
I also check out the jobs although I think it varies a lot where you live as to whether it gets updated often and isn't full of scammers.

I found my house on Gumtree and I very much like it.
Greedy - 300 mags for the local Hospital?? In our area the hospitals won't take old magazines, Don't have em in waiting rooms ect. Evidently its the new 'health & safety' rules. Because of the MRSA ourbreak. (Dont know where they've come from, or who's had 'em.

That's what she said they were for. I wasn't fussed, it meant I didn't have to take them with me when I moved house lol.

They have mags in my local Hospital - I go every week.
I'm just going to check it out now.

They're near the fens, do you think they might be Snags? http://www.theanswerb...h-fen-motorway-plans/

PS. I will stop trotting out those articles one day.
I think Greedy its up to the individuel hospitals what rules they install, or the govenors more like. There's strictly a 'No Flowers' rule too. Pot Plants ok but no flowers. Mainly because of the rancid water and nurses haven't got time every day to change the water, Cleaners say "Its not my job" & with all the infections floating around hospitals today they've got to eliminate the risk.
BTW I want to sell my Mobility scooter but I couldn't find a section to put it in ,in Gumtree. Any sugestions?
