At long last today I have booked an eye test through a new optician. The lady on the phone didn't believe I qualified for a free test as a pensioner! I shall take her hearing-dog a special treat

I tried to get a free eye test at my regular opticians, she took the wind out of my sails when she told me they don't charge for tests, anyway....
