Funny Fishing stories

It's my Dad's birthday, and I would love to send him a book on fishing, (he likes Fly and sea fishing) it has to be funny, you know like these anthologies of true tales, anyone suggest anything....anything at all????

Garth did loads of theme sketches which were funnies - he's bound to have done a fishing one. Warning, it's a collection of cartoons rather than a book of stories - check out the cartoon/comedy section of WH Smiths for Garth and others.....

If you go to Amazon - under the humour section there is a hunting & fishing sub-section. Not a huge choice but you might find something.

MMmmm very funny! But if JR Hartley had that much trouble trying to find a copy I doubt I will ;-)

Nelli - on the back of that advert someone really *did* publish a book "by" JR Hartley on fly-fishing! You may struggle to track down a new copy but try phoning round second hand bookshops - it worked in the advert!

The "real" book, "Fly Fishing" by J R Hartley was actually produced by Yellow Pages (after the success of the advert), though presumably they got someone in to actually write it. I know this as I used to work for part of Yellow Pages and we actually had a phone line on which you could order a copy (though I never got a "Fly Fishing" call in my time there).
