On broadband I leave my computer on most of the time. Recently I have found disturbing 'messages' on the screen. They look similar to normal messages from MSM or similar but are always porno. I dont have children who might access my computer so its simple to close the message but what if.....? Where do they come from - how do I stop them?

Windows has a messenger service which can be disabled in the "services".
I'm not very "techie" so this is a layman's answer. There's a flaw in messenger's programming that allows some unscrupulous types to "hack" in and leave you messages. They're harmless, apart from content, but microsoft have released patches/updates to fix the flaw. If your PC isn't offering automatic update retrieval (which it should be) then visit the microsoft website and look for the updates to download.
