How much is my Hockney original?
4 Answers
I kept a David Hockney "original" from the late 80s that he'd created and publishing directly using the printing presses of the Telegraph & Argus. Thousands of these were printed, but is it worth anything today?

So, you're probably right, they're worth nothing yet - though in a few decades time they might be. If a copy were signed by Hockney that would be a different matter, of course.
I was kicking myself a few years ago when, as a journalist in Bradford, I interviewed Hockney during an exhibition of his at the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television. I was determined to ask him to pen a small drawing on my notepad and then sign it, but in the end time ran out and he dashed off before I could even say thanks. Had he signed it, maybe that would have been worth something by now too!
