All I remember is a butcher telling me that when farmers breed turkeys for Christmas or Easter, for example, they slaughter the whole flock (if that's the word?) so I'm not sure that fresh turkey wings would be readily available in small quantities throughout the rest of the year.Someone may correct me but that what I was told.Hope that helps.
When I had a butchers shop we used to sell plenty of Turkey wings. A turkey farm were always phoning me up as they could not sell them . They were very cheap and had a lot more meat on them than chicken wings. Great for roasting or for stews..I suspect that most were sold for their pets.
