Early Sunday morning there was quite a serious fire in the shop below my flat . there has been considerable damage to my property ie floors and walls melting and smoke damage throughout . the problem is i do not have insurance contents or building . does anyone know how istand with claiming from the shops insurance ......... help !!!!!!!

Talk to the shop owner for his insurance details - and hope he is insured.

are you sure that you dont have building insurance via any maintenance payments from freeholder/landlord?
