There's also a sexual connotation in that particular expression but I'm not going to go into it, I'm with Cetti on this, I would be out of there so fast if anyone said that to me, you wouldn't even see the dust rise.

Alternatively: "I am vulnerable". "I am having a hard time with life at the moment". "I want you to say that you love me". "Your best friend doesn't want an affair with me". It is all in the context.
