Can I just say it is 94 degrees here in NYC and the Heat Index is at about 105 now? This heat is unbearable. We had no spring and went right into the "dog days" of summer....

I stayed in Alabama a few years ago in the summer - loved that sub-tropical heat and humidity AND that fantastic cicada 'music' but I can imagine it getting a bit much year in year out. Well, you've got air con haven't you? :-)
