is there such a thing as a free registry check and fix they all seem to want to charge after they have checked your system it seem like you have loads of problems and they will charge you for fixing them

Do a google search for "crap cleaner" theres a free version. it cleans your registry, cookies, temp files, recycle bin, recent documents, and more. I love it.

I've used RegSupreme for years and now have the paid version as it's very cheap at about �5, but be a bit careful as the free version may not have any backup option to fall back on.

i will have a look at crap cleaner when i download it and stat it can i give my self any problems like deleting cookies or should you leave them alone and thank you for all your help

The beautiful thing bout ccleaner is that you can choose what cookies to keep. ccleaner remembers what cookies you selected so that during future scans those same cookies will remain.

Deleting cookies will not cause problems. keeping certain cookies will allow you to remain logged into things like The answerbank or even your homepage.

I have easycleaner. It's free and cleans the registry, broken shortcuts etc. etc. I got it free originaly from a cover disk but have found a link to it. Had it for years and has been very good.http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts/ecle ane.htm
