Long-Distance Loving?

Many moons ago I dated a lad who lived in Southampton (a few hundred miles away from me). It soon fizzled out as in those days there were no mobile phones and no webcams. In fact, we didn't even have a phone at home - I used go to a phone box to ring him at a pre-arranged time. Guess it was doomed to fail.

Anyhoo ..... has your love survived a long distance?

Long distance is working okay for me.

It's all the better when we see each other.
Abstinence makes the heart grow fonder and the .............. grow longer eh JJ?

ttfn - Surprisingly I'm good at this picking up the mooring buoy thingy. That reminds me of last year's trip to the Gulf de Morbihan. We were trying to moor up in the River Auray - passed some very post British people sunning themselves on deck with their Pimms. Plaid shouts out "I say - is there anywhere around here I can pick up a boy......?"
He spluttered, she smiled, I was phishing myself down below....
That would have caused me a tidal movement too
lol...

It was the same holiday when Cap'n Pugwash announced his rim had gone all out of shape.
No ---- I won't say it
The abstinence thing ... aaah, is that what does it !

Familiarity breeds contempt - is that what they say JJ?
So you, like moi, are just attempting not to become roo familiar and contemptuous ;-)

ttfn - did I ever tell you the one when he sent me a text on his travels to say he was "rubbing his wet croc on the side of the hull to communicate with the dolphins" - I mis-read the word croc (!) - thought he was just being a pervert....
He has probably seen too many blow holes in his time
Probably!
LOL LOL

I'd like to be a bit more "familiar" ... and I'd try not to be too contemptuous.

But we can't always control whom we are going to meet, and fall for ... or where they are going to live.
