She even modelled it for Halfords, we never told Halfords that she couldn't actually ride a bike lol.
Personally I wouldn't wear one, same as all this fancy gear they wear on motorcycles, I know it is excellent protection but not my thing, when I rode a motorcycle during the summer I just wore trainers, shorts and a helmet and not theses huge helmets they wear now that cost a gazillion ££££ ++ I Know, I'm just irresponsible!!

I mostly ride off-road, as well.
You're all the more likely to hit a wet tree root and the bike skids out from under you (me)
or get your front wheel on a hole, and get thrown over the top (me)
or go down a steeper slope than you expected, and go face first, with your bike crashing under you (me)
or slip in mud (me) and your foot comes out of the clips, and the pedal rips your shin open, and A&E have to stitch you back together (me)
And on any of these times, there are LOTS of things that your head could hit !!
Watch my lips ... "BUY A HELMET" !!!

to be honest i cant seem me riding that often, as i have a car, and if i do it will for pleasure so ill be on all the back roads etc...id never go anywhere on dual carriageways etc
i guess ill play it by ear depending on where im going...
it would be much better if they were so weird looking...and thinner to your head

I think Children should wear them , not sure whether it should be a law though. Hard to Police i would have thought.
I cycle a lot and have never worn one and never will, i dont think they will do a lot. The most common cycling injury is a broken collar bone so wearing body armour would be more sensible perhaps?!

I cycle to work and do a bit of cross country at weekends and wear a helmet for every trip. I'm mostly on cycle lanes or off road, even on the commute to work. The risk of landing on my head is fairly minimal but its a risk I'm not prepared to take!
The highest risk are low branches on trees. I've often had them clip me and been thankful for the helmet.

lol craft...
I used to do a lot of cycling: both on road (time trialing) and off road (mountain biking and downhilling) and have seen some horrible accidents where the wearing of a helmet definitely prevented further serious head injury.
I've also seen people wearing helmets so badly fitted/positioned that they may as well not be wearing one in the first place...
