Isn't it amazing!! When kids make it or grow it themselves,

they suddenly 'like' it now! Today, my 9 year old nephew Matthew 's friend, Jack, (a 'townie', not brought up on a farm like Matthew - who will eat anything!) who would only eat chips as far as vegetables go, has just demolished a pizza with tomatoes, olives, red and yellow peppers, onions and mushrooms on it! His mother nearly fainted when I told her! And it's all because he made it himself!

I'd have demolished that too and I wouldn't care who made it!

There's a school near us which has taken over an allotment so the kids can grow veg and then have it cooked in the school canteen. Apparently the kids go mad for them.

My brothers three eldest kids have a patch of land on the farm for themselves, and this year grew potatoes, onions, courgettes cabbages and cauliflowers, they sold them at the side of the road and even left out honesty boxes and they weren't ripped off once i'm glad to say. The money they've made is going towards next years seeds and they were allowed to buy themselves treats with the rest.
