Numbness after C-section
Hi ladies. I had a C-section 10 days ago and want to know if you've had a c-section and what your recovery was like.
The very base of my back/top of bottom is completely numb. It's the same feeling as if I had been sitting on a hard surface for a very long time and my bums gone numb and aches. Also, all my skin below my bellybutton to my pubic bone is numb. Has anybody else had this? If so, how long did it take for feeling to come back? And lastly, my tummy looks like I've got a football under my top. Its rock solid and round. I know it takes a long time for your body to recovery but my friends just had jelly bellies after not solid pregnancy looking bumps. Anybody had this too? xx

My husband had a kidney transplant 3 years ago and they do the inscision in a similar place to a c section. He's had numbness in his abdomen, below the scar ever since and it's doubtful it'll ever come back to normal. As for the swelling - is there a chance you could have a hernia? He has also been left with this and it's like a round solid (large) lump in his abdomen. This can be fixed - they just haven't done anything with his as he's not fit enough to have an operation.
Hi, I had a c-section 18 months ago and my scar and surrounding area is still numb. Its a strange feeling. My back was never numb though, after the anesthetic wore off. And I also had a flabby belly, not hard. Has your midwife been to see you? Mine came every few days after to look at my scar and feel my tummy to check that the uterus had returned to its normal place.
Hi, thanks for you replys. My tummy is starting to get smaller thank goodness (still look pregnant though). Midwife has only been once and that was to weigh baby. I shall ask them when they are due to come again. Doesn't sound good about the numbness. tummy numbness doesnt bother me too much, but really dont like it in my back. Hopefully it'll come back.
