Well, I've done the crosswords, baked bread, cooked a big gammon, now I'm cooking lunch for 18 today, including farm hands, we have a huge roast sirloin of beef, with Yorkshire puddings, crispy golden roasties, baby new boiled potatoes, roast parsnips, peas, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower, cabbage and green beans, horseradish sauce and rich gravy, which they will have at approx 2.00pm.
OR
succulent plain roast chicken with parsley, lemon nand thyme stuffing with veg as above
Puds are summer berry pie, (blackberries, raspberries, tayberries, logan berries and blueberries)
Rhubarb or Plum crumble
Chocolate gateau with fresh whipped cream
Fruit salad and ice cream
After loading the dishwasher, cutting the ham up, slicing cheese, washing salads, taking the quiches out of the oven, and the sponge cakes and making two sherry trifles, i will butter four dozen rolls, and then I shall have my own lunch, a cup of tea and a (I think!) Well-deserved sit down. Unless the doggies plague the life out of me for walkies!!
