london train stations
I don't use the trains much so need a bit of help please. On my ticket it states arr. Waterloo East 11.28 - arrive Waterloo 11.34 transfer via platform. This means I walk between stations presumeably which is estimated to take 6 minutes? Sorry to be so thick but have a connection train to catch at Waterloo and don't want to be in a panic! thanks so much.

thank you so much everyone - what quick replies - I'm really grateful.
Eddie maybe I didn't explain myself properly, the six minutes was the time it said on my ticket details it would take me to get from Waterloo to Waterloo East - I was checking that it did mean I'd have to walk. My connecting train doesn't leave until just after noon - thanks for the concern though. Go well

Get to the front of the train about two carriges back, walk up the slope through the ticket barrier, you then walk no more that Two hundered yards - which is over the top of Waterloo Rd - to an escalator which take you down on to Waterloo station.
You should try and see which platform your train is leaving from Waterloo is huge. I would take an earlier train to arrive before 11:28

interesting question jno and for the life of me I can't think of the answer. Went out to Rhodesia via a 14 day cruise - met some people on the boat and stayed with them on the garden route for ten days then got the train up to Bulawayo. As a sweet young bride new out from UK maybe I didn't question what hubby did! No that's silly - have always questioned things. Most likely answer is that is was the cheapest route - we were broke at the time.
