you will have to be more specific and tell us what aspects of cricket you want to train for i.e. batting, bowling, fielding, is it to combat a particular injury?
Mainly muscles needed for batting, such as arm power and rotation of the body during strokes, but maybe some stuff for bowling as well.
Just a note, fraserjim, that if you are any good at cricket, it can be quite athletic. People who are c**p at cricket think its c**p!!
One of the main problems of batters (and bowlers for that matter) is the unnatural stances and movement so generally i would say lower trunk exercises are recommended to maintain a strong lower back - bowlers especially have to worry about possible back problems (perhaps not now but in later years...) - Iron Man used to be excellent for weight-training exercises to strengthen particular parts of the body so look there for back exercises. You'll find this useful too for building upper arm strength (so you can hit those sixes easily!) http://www.ironmanmagazine.com/
hope all this helps. Darth (personally i just use the force)
